As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 880 people, 324 households, and 243 families residing in the town. The population density was 2,139.8 people per square mile (828.7/km2). There were 374 housing units at an average density of 909.4 per square mile (352.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 77.39% White, 0.34% African American, 0.57% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 18.64% from other races, and 2.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 23.52% of the population.

There were 324 households out of which 40.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.8% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.18.
